To share some insight, I have acquired approval from three of the leaders I am presently coaching, to share their 'first' meanings of Leadership. Stuff about how to motivate your group, inspire others, raise the bar etc., ends up being an everyday reminder to both Mark and Mary that they have absolutely nothing. The effect of putting this stuff into their brain and not growing causes discomfort and, the majority of the time, stopping. Why? We've educated ourselves about leading but have no fans and we seem like phonies or that we are simply never going to be a leader like Tom, Penis or Harry.
